Vintage Brass Bookends Brass - World Globe Man Library Office Decor

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage pair of bronze toned metal weighted bookends. This set of 2 bookends feature a naked man (possibly Atlas) sitting on a world globe with his hand under his chin in a thinking pose. They remind one of the famous statue "The Thinker" but they are not. The bookends have a rectangular base that is about 1/2" high below the man and the world.

This pair of retro bookends are in nice vintage condition. Some light wear and patina as would be expected an item from the mid century. There is green felt on the bottoms to protect the surface they are place upon from scratching.

The bookends are approx. 6" tall and 4 3/4" wide. They are about 2 1/4" deep. Each piece weighs about 1 1/3 lbs.

Great mid century style statues or bookends that would look great on a shelf, mantel or bookcase!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
