Vintage Westmoreland Roses & Bows Milk Glass Footed Candy Box w/ Lid - Round Pedestal Compote Dish Dome Top - Wedding Home Decor - Ca 1980

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage round white milk glass painted candy box, comport or pedestal dish with a lid made by Westmoreland in their Roses & Bows pattern. This milk glass dish or candy jar is quite heavy for its size and has a domed lid that has a faceted finial at the top.

The grapevine, fruit and grape cluster pattern goes all around the top of the lid and around the lid as well as the bottom section. There is some nice detail on the lid and some extra trim in a scalloped pattern on the top edge of the bowl. The lid has a great faceted pointed knob that sits on top of a round base. Below the knob are some raised ribs that go around the round base for the knob. The hand painted pink roses, purple bows and small blue flowers add a wonderful touch of color. The company called this shape a candy box and was made in the 1980s. It has the Westmoreland stamp on the very bottom.

Great wedding display piece or home decor item from the past!

The Westmoreland round lidded candy box is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks - looks lovely!

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them.
