Antique Shabby Chic TEA SERVICE Silver plate Teapot Creamer & Sugar Vintage Sheffield Co 1112 Silverplate Tea Service or Coffee Pot 3 pc Set

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vintage silverplate coffee or teapot with matching sugar and creamer set. This adorable Silver plate tea set has an Art Deco style with unique handles on each piece. It was made by the Sheffield Silver Co. and is a striking tea service that would be beautiful to use as well as being a great display piece. The SHEFFIELD SILVER CO was located in Brooklyn, NY. The company was incorporated in 1908, and its trademark registered in 1919. The company later became a part of Reed and Barton (circa 1970). This set is circa early to mid 1900s.

The handle ends have an ornate bit of swirl on the ends and a nice angular shape. These three pieces feature a series of horizontal etched rings or bands - thy are at the mid section and at the base of each of them. The top of the pot has a tear drop shaped knob with some lines in it.

This is a petite sized set with the pot and the creamer being a smaller size than most and would be perfect for tea for two.

Measures:
Teapot - 7 1/2" tall to top of knob on lid. It is 6" wide from end of spout to tip of handle. Base has a 3 1/4' diameter and top opening has a 2" diameter.
Sugar - 3' high. It is 5 1/2" wide from end of handle on one side to end of handle on the other side. The base has a 3 1/2" diameter. The top opening is an oval with a 2 1/2" x 2" measurement.
Creamer - 3" high and 4 1/2" wide from end of handle to top of spout. The base has a 3" diameter and the top opening has a 2" diameter.

Hallmarked Sheffield Plate with their crown mark, MADE IN USA and the numbers 1112 on the bottom of each piece.

In nice vintage condition with slight wear on all three pieces. Silver plate is in nice condition with some wear here and there. There is a ding on one side of the teapot on the lower section below the banded rings. The knob is very slightly off-kilter. All three pieces have patina. They have been lightly polished but could be more polished if so desired. Price reflects conditions. The set is a great shabby chic piece of yesteryear!

A great one-of-a-kind item for tea or coffee for a special occasion - or just when you need to feel special!
