Vintage Statue Child w/ Goose by Aldo Mencarini #112 - Gold Cherub on Black Base Figurine Mid Century Retro Home Library Decor - Mid century

$49.00

A fab mid century statue of a chubby child or cherub holding some grapes or cherries that are being nibbled on by a goose by Aldo Mencarini. The goose is on one side of the child and had an outstretched neck as it reaches for the fruit being cradled in the child’s hands. The statue is chalkware.

The child and the goose are a bronzed gold while the base is black. There is some green felt in the bottom of this retro home decor piece. The original sticker is on the bottom as well that says ALDO MENCARINI FINE ARTS and a handwritten #112.

Measures 12" high and is about 6" wide at the base. This retro statue is about 3 3/4" in depth - front to back.

The statue has a gloss finish.

This is a great mid century home decor item that is charming and a bit kitschy.

In nice vintage condition with light wear commensurate with retro age - circa mid century . See photos for detail.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
