Vintage Sterling Silver Collar Necklace Mexico - 925 Mod Mid century Modernist Thin Silver Choker

A vintage collar necklace from the mid century that is sterling silver. It has a thin flat design all around and features a “U” shape in the very center. This collar necklace was made in Mexico as indicated by the hallmark on the inner band.

This mod choker has a unique closure in the back that is made up of an oval loop on one side and a hook shape on the other end. The hook fits into the loop to fasten this necklace.

The choker is approximately 15 1/2" around.

The retro sterling silver necklace is in nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with vintage age. This modernist collar choker still has a nice shine. It has been lightly polished. When laid down flat, it is slightly off kilter , probably from putting it on and taking it off - see photos for detail.

The sterling silver necklace is marked MEXICO 925 near the end by the closure. The loop and hook clasp closes securely.

Weighs 16.5 grams.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
